I graduated from Otago University in 2008, first working for 4 years in Wellington and Hutt Hospitals gaining experience in Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Respiratory medicine and surgical specialties. After a 6 month OE I returned to work for another 18 months as a Medical Registrar in Wellington and Palmerston North Hospitals before choosing to specialise in General Practice in Palmerston North. I have been in general practice for the past 3 years, and have never looked back. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, the varied work, continuity of care, getting to know patients and their families and the opportunity for preventative health. I provide a full range of GP services including paediatric care, minor surgery, geriatric care, early pregnancy care, gynaecological procedures, sexual health, men’s health and palliative care.
Outside of work I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, from mountain biking and fishing through to tramping and skiing. I have recently moved to Orewa with my wife and 9 month old son. We are looking forward to seeing our son grow up here.
